| We threw a surprise party for Dorothy on Friday before she left to Ontario on Sunday. The party itself was a success, but the surprise part... Not so much. Dorothy is a clever one and already had suspicions of a party, and questioned her boyfriend, Patrick. PATRICK, who is a terrible liar, basically GAVE AWAY the secret BY not answering "no" when she asked if there was a surprise party. SHAKE MY HEAD PATRICK, SHAKE MY HEAD. So the plan was to meet at patricks house around 12 so he could let us in and we'd set up... Wrong. He had to go drive his family all the way to granview because his aunt was visiting. So he said he'd meet us up at 3.
Alright 3, That's not too bad. get there at 3, set up. guests comes at 5 dorothy at 6. Done deal. .. Wrong again. Dorothy, being that clever one wanted to make all this the more difficult for us. She decided that she has to PRINT something at patrick's house. Patrick being stupid, he didn't say that his printer was out of ink. So we were delayed yet AGAIN. At the same time this was all happening, we were all at shiela's house waiting for the word to go there... BUT at the same time we realized that we weren't supposed to be there. More importantly, shiela was not supposed to be at her house. Her family was gone to the states for the long weekend, and she lied about going somewhere for school that she couldn't miss on that day. Her aunt, however, didn't go. So we had to leave before her aunt came home. So we were stuck between having no where to go that's convienient enough walk to Patrick's. We didn't know what to do, especially with no ride and a crap load to carry.
We had to think quick, so we decided to just go to Angel's and crash there untill we got any calls from Patrick....
It was already PAST 3 and still no call from patrick. We were all getting uneasy and frustrated. So.. we deciuded to risk it and call patrick even if he was with Dorothy... being the "decoy." He said he'd call us back when everything's ready. Boy that was a loooong wait. It was around five or quater two.. and we weren't at the house yet. So we called everybody and prosponed the party untill 6
We got sick of waiting for patrick's call and decided to just go to his house and set up inthe back yard or something. So while other's walked, me and Anh got a ride. we bumped into lincey on the way. Soooo we went to his backyard... and Deion calls us and tell us not to go inside because Patrick's in there with Dorothy.
Damnit.. We got scared and just hid for the LONGEST time. We had to call peoplewho were on their way to STOP. It was such a hassle. Gosh.. we stayed in this really small dark area that was filled with cobwebs.. But it was the only place covered, so it sufficed. FINALLY, when we hear the car leave, we got the signal to go INSIDE and we started to set up like mad.
Just then, Deion got a call.. It was Patrick.. GUESS WHAT? He left his wallet at home. Wow, what a guy eh? But he assured us Dorothy would not follow us in, but we hid anyways just in case.
Just then Anh gets a call from Claire and roxette and them, and guess what? They just got to Patrick's house. So while patrick ON the way back home, they're just there frollocking. Anh tells them to go to the back yard and she'll let them in.
While we're all trying to be quiet, they were SO LOUD and giggly.. and had their phones out which caused a light. NO OFFENSE, but we were tryingto be quiet and NOT seen soooooo what were you thinking? Ugh. Anyways
After he came and left, we set up... yadiyaydadya fast forward. It was 7:30, and we cued Patrick to bring Dorothy back to his house. WHEN... all of a sudden Claire and those girls were sitting in the lounge area near the door, and I asked if they were gonna come in to hide.. they said they wanted to hide out there.. In my mind i was like WHAT? Claire reasoned with me that it was because Dorothy isn't expecting anything anyways so it'd be okay for them to hide behind the couches.
WELL, CLAIRE. SHE IS EXPECTING A PARTY SO JUST GET YOU AND YOUR FRIEND'S BUTT INSIDE THE ROOM, ALRIGHT?
.. no I didn't say that. But I told them politley that Patrick's a fail and Dorothy has her suspicions. So they went in the room.
Finally, we're all hidden, and we hear the door open.... Moment of truth... Right?? Wrong.. again. I suppose we set up in an area that was uncommon to be in so it took them forevvverrrrrr to get to the room. Mainly because Dorothy wouldn't go where Patrick would go because she new. And DEION hide in the corner OUTSIDE THE ROOM. so when dorothy was near.. SHE BUMPED INTO HIM. ... Gosh. Fail surprise right there.
EVEN THEN.. when she was RIGHT THERE next to the room, she went somewhere else.. It was like she knew it was tthere and was torturing us all. When FINALLY she came in.. We silly stringed and caked her. I suppose that part wasn't well thought out becase cake and confetti was EVERYWHERE on the ground. It was so gross to walk in. Damnit.. So before the party began we had to clean up.
It tookus about an hour or so to clean the sticky floor up, and it could have gone WAY faster if EVERYBODY decided to help. I was really annoyed at that moment, because I thought at least claire and roxette would stay to clean but no. Instead, they asked for their shoes so they could walk out clean footed, and leave for a bit. That really got me mad. So they'll patricipate in the surprise part but not cleaning? Wow thanks guys.
Anyways after cleaning, Claire just had to make her remark and say "we should have done it a more common area."|
OH YEAH CLAIRE? WELL YOU TRY SETTING UP A SURPRISE PARTY WITH SO MANY DELAYS AND FINDING A ROOM "MORE COMMON" WHEN WE'RE ALREADY 5 HOURS LATE. YEAH NOT SO EASY IS IT? I DON'T NEED YOUR CRITICISM ON HOW MUCH OF A BETTER JOB WE COULD HAVE DONE. WE TRIED OUR BEST ALRIGHT? WHY DON'T YOU SET IT UP NEXT TIME THEN. GOOD. NOW EITHER ENJOY THE PARTY OR GTFO.
too bad id idn't say that. I told her that we were in a rush and didn't think. She also made other remarks that night or before the surprise instinuating that she could have done a better job. Well whatever, I just brushed it off and tried to enjoy the party.
My mom made me leave at nine.. I was upset, the party had only just begun. But whatever. Funnily enough, Dorothy, being the procrastinator she is, she had mine, esthers AND anh's yearbook to write in for the WHOLE summer.. Since she knew there was gonna be a party she brought it along. Hahahahaha.. I guess there was a positive part to this all. .. But wait.. I still didn't get my yearbook back. fml
So she left the next next morning at 5 am, and I really wanted to drop her off at the airport but i couldn't because it was too early. All in all.... I hate you dorothy and patrick. D:

and patrick for BEING so dumb just about everything.
This day was sooooo stressfull. I was just glad it was all over after. |
